Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
Template for review. This is a starting-point privacy policy. Have counsel tailor it to your actual data practices and applicable laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR if relevant, and COPPA once the service handles data related to children). Replace all [bracketed] items.
InParallel, Inc. ("InParallel," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at goinparallel.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and your choices. By using the Site or joining our waitlist, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Information families give us. When you join Early Access, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, ZIP code, the number of children in your household and their general age ranges, your expected transportation needs, and any optional details you share. We do not collect children's names, addresses, schools, custody information, medical information, or details about family disputes.
- Information drivers give us. If you apply to drive, we collect your name, contact information, ZIP code, eligibility answers (age, license, and insurance status), vehicle details, driving experience, availability, service areas, and any optional information you share, along with your acknowledgment of our screening requirements.
- If you contact us, we collect the information you choose to share.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting and service providers may collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and analytics.
How we use your information
- To notify you about our launch and send you updates about InParallel that you've asked to receive.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
- Email & waitlist: Kit (Kit.com / ConvertKit) stores your email and sends our communications.
- Hosting: Netlify hosts the Site.
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. You may request that we access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR.
Children's privacy
The Site and our forms are directed to parents and other adults, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Site. The only child-related information we collect is limited and non-identifying — the number of children in a household and their general age ranges — provided by a parent to help us understand transportation needs. (When our transportation service launches and handles information relating to specific children, that activity will be governed by additional terms and protections, and this policy will be updated accordingly.)
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide updates you've requested or as required by law, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, with the "Last updated" date revised.
